Neidenfels
Neidenfels is a municipality in the district of Bad Durkheim in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Lambrecht (Pfalz ).
Geographical location
Neidenfels, a papermaker village in the Palatinate Forest, located between Neustadt on the Wine Route and Kaiserslautern.
History
Neidenfels arose at the beginning of the 15th century under the protection of the castle Niedenfels, which was eventually called Castle Neidenfels and which was built in 1330 by the Count Palatine of the Rhine Rudolf II.
Religion
2013 were 41.6 percent of the population Protestant and 38.4 percent Catholic. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were.

Economy and infrastructure
On Neidenfels station the trains of the S- Bahn Rhein Neckar. The lines S1 and S2 provide direct links to Kaiserslautern in the west and Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Mannheim and Heidelberg in the east. Neidenfels belongs to the tariff zone of the transport association Rhein- Neckar.
