Neil Immerman
Neil Immerman (* November 24, 1953 in Manhasset, New York) is an American scientist in the field of theoretical computer science and professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Life
Immerman studied at Yale, where in 1974 his master's degrees earned. A PhD followed at Cornell University.
In 1995 he was awarded the Gödel Prize for the proof of the theorem of Immerman and Róbert Szelepcsényi together with Szelepcsényi. In 1999 he published his book on the descriptive complexity theory.
