Neil McCarthy (actor)

Neil McCarthy ( born July 26, 1933, Lincoln; † 6 February 1985 in Fordingbridge ) was a British actor.

He has starred in films such as Where Eagles Dare, In the Navy, The Thief of Bagdad, Shogun, A bunch of great dogs and Time Bandits. Well-known roles were that of a Welsh soldier in Zulu and his portrayal of Calibos in the film Clash of the Titans.

He also starred in numerous television series such as The Avengers and melon, Doctor Who, The Catweazle and professionals.

McCarthy died at the age of 51 years to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
