Neil Smith (writer)

Neil Smith (born 1964 ) is a Canadian short story writer and a translator.

His first collection of short stories Bang Crunch appeared in German in 2009. The book received at the 2007 Quebec Writers' Federation Literary Awards the McAslan First Book Prize, a translation into French by Lori Saint- Martin and Paul Gagné 2008 Translator's Prize the Quebec Writers Foundation ( QWF ).

Smith, who is gay, lives in Montreal, Quebec, with his partner Christian Dorais.
