Nell Rankin

Nell Rankin ( January 3, 1923 *; † 13 January 2005) was an American opera singer.

Rankin had an excellent mezzo- soprano voice. She has sung more than 10 years at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. At La Scala they also had many long time commitment.

1950 Rankin won the first American 1st prize at the Concours International d' exécution musicale in Geneva.

Rankin died on 13 January 2005 from a rare bone marrow disease and is survived by her husband Hugh Davidson.
