Nelson Boyd

Nelson Boyd ( born February 6, 1928 in Camden, New Jersey; † October 1985) is an American jazz bassist of bebop.

Neson Boyd played around 1945 in Philadelphia in local orchestras, came in 1947 to New York and played with Coleman Hawkins, Tadd Dameron and Dexter Gordon, then with Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Barnet in 1948.
