Nenad Kljaić

Nenad Kljaić ( born December 21, 1966 in Zagreb, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian handball player and current coach.

Sports career

Kljaićs career began at RK Medveščak Zagreb. He then moved to Zagreb Badel. In 1994 he played in the Handball - Bundesliga for the TV Großwallstadt. After six years in the Lower Franconia in 2000 he went back to Zagreb Badel. In Zagreb Kljaić ended his playing career and began his career as a coach. From 2006 to 2007 he was a coach for RK Zagreb. He was replaced by Lino Červar. In March 2009 Kljaić was the successor of Senjanin Maglajlija again head coach for RK Zagreb.

He was appointed in September 2012 as the coach of Saudi Arabian men's national handball team.

As a player Kljaić played 170 internationals for Croatia. Nenad Kljaić is the son of Velimir Kljaić.

Achievements

  • Olympic gold medal with the Croatian national team in 1996.
