Nendoroid

Nendoroid (ねんどろいど, Nendoroido ) are small plastic figures of the Japanese Good Smile Company, which were first produced in 2006. " Nendo " is the Japanese word for sound.

Nature

Nendoroid figures are usually replicas of an anime or manga character and are commonly used as collectibles or toys. They are about 10 cm (4 inches) high, depending on the character's appearance. Normally they are deformed as Chibi or represented with a large head and small body. Their faces and body parts are movable and interchangeable, so they can take a number of different expressions and poses.

Nendoroid figures are mainly based on anime and manga series such as Squid Girl, Kannagi, Lucky Star, Death Note, K -ON!, Haruhi Suzumiya, Fate / stay night, Black Rock Shooter, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai and the characters of the synthesizer software Vocaloid along with games such as the Touhou Project. Rarely are based Nendoroid figures working on a real person, as in Formula One driver Kamui Kobayashi or the American rock band Linkin Park.
