Nennhausen

Nennhausen is a municipality in the southern part of the country Havel in Brandenburg ( Germany ) in the immediate vicinity of the city of Rathenow and is the administrative seat of the homonymous Office Nennhausen.

Geography

Nennhausen is located about 14 km east of Rathenow and about 25 km north of Brandenburg an der Havel. East borders the Havelländische Luch to the community in which there is a vast sanctuary for the highly endangered Great Bustard ( Otis tarda). The district Buckow houses the State Ornithological Station of Brandenburg, whose central task in the development and implementation of the species conservation program for up to 18 kilograms bustards, after the giant African bustards ( Ardeotis kori ) of the heaviest flying birds worldwide count is.

History

In 1161 Buckow is first mentioned. The first mention of Damme as Dambe will take place in 1164. In 1304 the first recorded mention of the village Nennhausen that the local part Bamme done takes place in 1348, which will take place from Liepe in 1304 and Gräningen in 1375th Mützlitz in the cathedral chapter of Brandenburg in the 1161 first documentary mention. The places Mützlitz and Buckow are Slavic origin. Since 1992, the Office Nennhausen exists. The communities Buckow and Damme were incorporated to Nennhausen on 31 December 2002. In the course of the Brandenburg municipality reform, the independent communities Bamme Gräningen, Liepe and Mützlitz were incorporated on 26 October 2003 in the town Nennhausen.

Attractions

In the list of monuments in Nennhausen are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg monuments. Other points of interest are:

  • Palace and Park Nennhausen, built from 1735 to 1737 as a three-wing; Residence of the two romantic writers Caroline and Friedrich de la Motte Fouque, 1859/1860 demolition of the north wing and remodeled according to plans by Ferdinand von Arnim and reshaped neogothic. The partially burned house was repaired after 1992 again and completed the National Garden Show 2006 in Rathenow than the outer project.
  • Castle Park, it was originally created in the Baroque style remodeled in 1780 into a landscape park in the English style. The orangery located in the park was reopened after the Restoration in May 2013.
  • Village church Nennhausen Gothic origin, revision of 1613 with Wall Memorial, relief of alabaster and tomb with the mummy. Tower of 1783 with strong external interventions of the 19th century including porch in the Gothic Revival style
