Neo Geo Pocket
The Neo Geo Pocket is a handheld game console from SNK, which was launched in Japan in 1998 on the market. In 1999, the production was stopped and the Neo Geo Pocket Color touted as the Neo Geo Pocket had sold worse with black and white screen as expected.
SNK had made a name in the game room area and therefore had some interesting in-house licenses. Some of these titles were then implemented exclusively for the Neo Geo Pocket, were thus in the handheld area exclusively for this system available. Therefore, the system offered, despite its short life time some interesting titles, including Samurai Shodown and King of Fighters R -1.
In order not to annoy the buyer of the short-lived Neo Geo Pocket, it was decided to Implementation of a black and white mode in many of the games for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. With some exceptions, the successor system Neo Geo Pocket Color to match the modules for the Neo Geo Pocket is downward compatible.
