Neonatal conjunctivitis
The Gonoblennorrhoe (including gonococcal conjunctivitis, ophthalmia neonatorum ) is a purulent conjunctivitis in the newborn.
It is caused by a bacterial infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae as a complication of gonorrhea ( gonorrhea ). The disease can lead to blindness. It is often accompanied by infection with Chlamydia. The disease can (usually by contact infection ) occurs in the newborn due to transmission from the infected mother during birth as well as adults. An outbreak of Gonoblennorhoe the newborn tries to avoid using the Crede prophylaxis.
