Nepomuceno

Nepomuceno is a city and a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The municipality was founded on August 30, 1911. At each of August 30 of the year the city's founding is commemorated with celebrations ever since. Booth 2009, located in 848 meters above sea level city 25 152 inhabitants. The population density is 43.6 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The most important source of income are farming and trading in coffee, which account for 70 percent of economic activity. Also be grown cereals, rice and legumes. Not insignificant is the poultry. There are over 1000 farms with nearly 5,000 employees.

In 2006, a campus of Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais was built in the city with state funds.
