Népszava

Népszava ( " People's Voice " ) is a company incorporated in Budapest by Viktor Külföldi in 1877 social democratic Hungarian daily newspaper. She was until 1948, the official newspaper of the Hungarian Social Democratic Party ( MSZDP ). 1940, later to become the President Árpád Szakasits was editor in chief.

Between 1948 and 1989 in the period of communism in Hungary, she was the official newspaper of the Hungarian trade unions. In 1990 it was reformed and was until 2002 the Central Council of Hungarian Trade Unions. She was later privatized and was briefly an advertising agency called ESMA. Currently, she has social democracy converged again, but is owned by its management and hopes for donations.

On 3 December 2010 Népszava appeared in protest against the government plans now adopted a constitutional amendment to a tighter media control by the State Agency for media and messaging Nemzeti Média - és Hírközlési Hatóság with an empty title page.
