Neri Maria Corsini

Neri Maria Corsini ( born May 19, 1685 in Florence, † December 6, 1770 in Rome ) was an Italian Roman Catholic cardinal.

Life

Corsini comes from the noble Florentine family of Corsini. 1730 Corsini was from his uncle Clement XII. elevated to cardinal. On 8 January 1731, he was cardinal deacon of Sant'Adriano al Foro. As a cardinal, he worked among others in the Roman Inquisition. In 1737 he became cardinal deacon of S. Eustachio. As a cardinal, he participated in the conclaves of 1740 ( election of Pope Benedict XIV ), 1748 ( election of Clement XIII. ) And 1759 ( election of Clement XIV ) part.
