Ness County, Kansas

Ness County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Ness City.

Geography

The County is located in west-central Kansas and has an area of ​​2784 square kilometers, of which one square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Trego County, Ellis County, Rush County, Pawnee County, Hodgeman County, Finney County, Lane County and Gove County.

History

Ness County was formed on 26 February 1867. It was named after Noah V. Ness, an officer in the American Civil War.
