Neta Snook

Neta Snook Southern ( born February 14, 1896 in Mount Carroll, Illinois, † March 23, 1991 in California ) was an American aviation pioneer.

Life

Neta Snook Southern was the first female pilot in Iowa. In addition, she was the first female pilot, who had their own flight school and the first woman who was responsible for a private airport.

Neta Snook was known as the woman who taught Amelia Earhart how to fly.
