Netherlands women's national field hockey team

The Dutch national women's hockey is currently the world number one ranking. She is a three time Olympic gold medalist and world champion with eight World Championship titles.

History

The Netherlands played a dominant role in the women's hockey from the start. In the late Victorian era to first independent women's hockey clubs founded. On October 16, 1911, the Nederlandse Dames Hockey Bond ( NDHB ) founded. During the German occupation he joined the Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond ( KNHB ). The actual fusion followed in 1954.

1951 NDHB had directed the first international women's tournament, in which France and Switzerland participated.
