Neu Kosenow

New Kosenow is a municipality near Anklam. The community is managed by the Office Anklam country located in the municipality Spantekow. Until 1 January 2005, the village belonged to the Official Ducherow.

Geography and transport

New Kosenow is located on the B 109 Anklam is located approximately eight kilometers north-west and Ueckermuende about 18 kilometers east of the community. The railway line Berlin- Stralsund crosses the municipality.

History

The town was first mentioned in documents in 1468.

The Good Auerose with 619 ha belonged before 1945 Wolf of Borcke - Auerose. Whose family had the goods have already a long time. The castle was built by William of Borcke as a new building on the old walls in the 19th century. The neo-baroque form it was mainly when modernizing 1902.
