Geography
Location
Neuberg lies to the east of the Rhine -Main metropolitan area. In the north Neuberg adjacent to the foothills of the Vogelsberg. The altitude of the municipality lies between 122 m in the south and 196 m in the north. Hanau is located about 10 km away, and Frankfurt is about 30 km away.
Neighboring communities
Neuberg borders in the north on the community Hammerbach, in the north east on the community Ronneburg, on the east by the city Langenselbold, in the south on the town Erlensee and in the west of the city Bruchkoebel.
Structure
The municipality consists of the villages Neuberg Ravolzhausen and Rüdigheim.
History
Incorporations
On April 1, 1971, the formerly independent communities Ravolzhausen and Rüdigheim were merged to form the new municipality of Neuberg.
Religions
In both villages are each an evangelical church. The community is predominantly Protestant. In particular, the Protestant Church in Rüdigheim is historically interesting because it counts as a former St. John Church of the oldest churches in the Main- Kinzig-Kreis.
