History
The name of the village derives from nine wells, which formerly stood in the village area (→ Neubrunn and nine Brunn ).
Louis IV " Bayer ", Roman king and emperor, gave Neubrunn 1323 the municipal law. This allowed the German Order, " from the village Neubrunn to make a city with fixture, weekly market and rightly so, as the town of Wertheim has. " Remains of the city right are parts of the city walls, which have been partially preserved in the cemetery.
