Neuburg (Winterthur)

Neuburg is a guard outside and also a district of the city of Winterthur and belongs to the group 6 ( Wülflingen ).

Geography

Neuburg is located in the south of the district Wülflingen and is also the area the largest district of the city of Winterthur. It includes part of the Dättnauertals until the beginning of Dättnauerweiher, a large part of Chombergs and the Winterthur part of Rumstals. In addition to the eponymous watch Neuburg outside the district includes other small settlements.

History

The name of Neuburg was in the 16th century by the former nearby castle Neuburg (now Castle location Hoh Wülflingen ) to the hamlet about.

1838 a schoolhouse was built in Neuburg, renovated 1917/18. 1922 Neuburg was incorporated along with the rest Wülflingen in Winterthur. 1951, on the school house, the characteristic tower with clock this, but since the 21st century, the school is no longer in operation and the students go to school in Wülflingen.

Culture and Leisure

In Neuburg takes place every two years instead of a slide celebration in which you can slide down the hill on mats on the purpose-built slide. There is in the village of the tourist restaurant Neuburg.

In Weiertal the Sculpture Symposium Winterthur took place in 2009.

Neuburg is not connected to public transport.

It lead to the streets Dättnau (part of the county Töss ), after Wülflingen, via Rumstal after Pfungen and after Sonnenberg, a hamlet in the parish Brütten.
