The new German film company ( ndF ), headquartered in Unterföhring near Munich was founded in 1947 and is one of the largest independent film production companies in Germany. The product portfolio ranges from television and movies, series and international co-productions to commercials. The ndF in addition to its headquarters in Unterföhring subsidiaries and associated companies in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.

History

The new German film company was founded in 1947 by director Harald Braun, the screenwriter Jacob Geis and Attorney Wolf Black. The license was issued on November 20, 1946 Brigadier General Robert A. McClure, representing the American military government. "Between Yesterday and Tomorrow " was the first feature film, which was realized in the first year under the direction of Harald Braun. The main roles were played by Hildegard Knef and Viktor de Kowa.

Before the ndF again became independent in 2003, it belonged in the meantime to Taurus production of Kirch Media. In April 2003, the managing partner Claudia Sihler - Rosei and Hansjörg Füting took over together with the author Michael Baier and the family of the founder Wolf Schwarz, the company's shares from the Taurus production. Since then, the ndF is again the largest independent producer of fictional programs in Germany.
