Neuenkirchen, Mecklenburg-Strelitz

New Churches is a municipality in the district Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Neverin based in homonymous municipality.

Geography

The community on the southern slope of Werder ( a moraine ) adjacent to the north-east of the urban area of Neubrandenburg. The southern boundary of the district of New churches forms the course of the river Datze.

At New churches are the districts Ihlenfeld, Luisenhof and Magdalenenhöh.

History

New Churches in 1360 first mentioned.

As part of the route survey of the federal motorway 20 of copper discovery of new churches was made here in 1998.

  • The village church is a stone building from the 13th century, probably never completed west tower is ship wide and ends under the church roof. Outfitted with the pulpit age dates from the 17th century.
  • The old manor house from 1646 was demolished after 1962; get the new mansion, which was built in 1907 /08 according to the plans of the Rostock architect Alfred Krause.

Transport links

New churches is connected by highways with the nearby towns of Neubrandenburg and Old Treptow. Through the municipality runs the A 20 (Connection Neubrandenburg East in five and a half miles away ). The nearest train station is in Warlin on the railway line Neubrandenburg Pasewalk.
