Neuhaus (chocolatier)

Neuhaus is a Belgian chocolate manufacturer. The headquarters is in Brussels, the preparation takes place today in a factory in nearby Vlezenbeek. The brand is found in the premium segment and today sells products worldwide.

Products

The core business of Neuhaus chocolates are, besides also chocolate bars, chocolate bars, pastries and candied fruits are sold.

History

In 1857, a native of Switzerland, Jean Neuhaus in Brussels a " confisere pharmaceutique ", the cough drops and other health products, but also already produced chocolate bars. Under his son Frédéric, a trained pastry chef, business waved gradually longer on pure enjoyment products and in 1895 was renamed " Confiserie et Chocolaterie Neuhaus -Perrin ". Neuhaus in 1978 was taken over by Jean -Jacques and Claude Poncelet, owner of the chocolate manufacturer Verhaeren et Mondose. Among them, the company expanded worldwide. 1987 was sold to the refinery belonging to ARTAL Tirlemontoise. 1989 Mondose was integrated into the Neuhaus brand.
