History

Neuhaus is a Croatian foundation of the 16th century. The first settlers seem to have been brought here by Nicholas Zrinský 1557-1561.

According to tradition, they should have come from the Kirchfidisch between German and Protect -Eisenberg located, Erdödyschen Georgshof. They called the place Dobrava, from which the Hungarians Dobra and Öridobra made ​​. The German name Neuhaus comes from the later German settlers. One Fassion of 1852, according to the school at that time consisted of a timbered wooden log cabin, in 1870 it was rebuilt.

After the canonical visitation in 1760 a chapel with a nearby bell tower was built in 1836, which was dedicated to St. Anthony. Mid-20th century, the chapel was replaced under Mayor Ferdinand Obojkovics by a new church.
