History
The place and its church was mentioned for the first time on 11 December 1138. The market status Neukirchen had been before 1300, because in 1300 Neukirchener citizens are already testified. The name suffix Balbini built in the 15th century as the genitive form of the 1303 testified in Neukirchen pastor Palwinus. 1345 arrived, the place in Palatine owned and was wittelsbachisch. In an age of religious wars, the subjects had to move four times in 60 years their religion. As part of the municipality edict of 1818 in Bavaria, the municipality was created.
Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, until then independent municipality soil was incorporated with Etzmannsried, Goppoltsried, cave valley, Hippoltsried, Oedhof, Rodlseign, Stadlhof and Wirnetsried. On 1 July 1972, the municipality Egelsried were added with the districts Albenried, Haselhof, hunting Ried, Neualbenried, upper and lower floor Ried and the places fawns Ried and Wolfsgrub from the dissolved municipality Kleinwinklarn. Alletsried with Gebertshof, Happassenried, Avoid Ried, Rückhof and Sperlhof without Haslarn and Meigelsried and Hans Ried without Thanried with Dehnhof, Enzenried, Scheiblhof, Weihermühle and goats mill followed on 1 May 1978.
Policy
On May 1, 1976, in the course of municipal reform, the formerly independent communities Dieterskirchen, Neukirchen - Balbini, Thanstein and Schwarzhofen have joined together to manage community Nine vorm Wald. First Mayor of the market Neukirchen- Balbini is Wolfgang Probst, who is also chairman of the joint management since 2008.
