Neukirchen ( Altmark) is a municipality in the district of Stendal Altmärkische Wipe in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

The village of Neukirchen ( Altmark) lies in the Brushes near the River Elbe in the north of the county. The town of Seehausen ( Altmark) is about 8 km away. By Neukirchen leads the Romanesque Road.

History

In the 13th century, the early Gothic brick church in the village was built. To a name change occurred on 23 December 1997, when the town of Neukirchen in Neukirchen ( Altmark) renamed.

Until December 31, 2009 Neukirchen was an independent municipality with the living space Schwarzhof and belonged to the now defunct administrative community Seehausen (Altmark ) on.
