Geography

Geographical Location

Neuler is located on a ridge between Kocher and Jagst, about seven kilometers southwest of Ellwangen. It participates in the natural spaces Eastern Albvorland and the Swabian- Franconian Forest, both of which are part of the Swabian Keuper- Lias country.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by Rosenberg, in the north- east on the town Ellwangen, to the east by Rainau, to the south Huettlingen, on the southwest by Abtsgmuend and to the west by Adelmannsfelden.

The municipality Neuler include the village of Neuler, the hamlet Bronnen, Ebnat, Gaishardt, linen First, Ramsenstrut and Schwenningen, the homestead Haldenhof and the houses Adler walks, Binderhof, Burghard mill, Postal, Kingdom of Heaven, carbon Wasen, Pfaff Hölzle and Schönberger Hof and the disposed towns Postal, Gern, Oberbrandhof, Schlierhof, Schliermühle, Schoeffel yards and Schoenberg.

History

Neuler was first mentioned in the year 1113. 1746 Baroque parish church was built on the foundations of a Gothic church. The place belonged first to the prince provost Ellwangen. When they fell to the Kingdom of Württemberg, with the secularization due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss circuit 1803 Neuler was assigned there Oberamt Ellwangen. As part of the district reform in 1938 Neuler came to the district of eels, which rose by the district reform in 1973 in the newly created Ostalb.

Religions

Even after the introduction of the Reformation in other parts of Germany Neuler remained Catholic. Even today, the majority of the inhabitants to the Roman Catholic Church of St. Benedict is the parish. The few evangelical believers belong to the Church community Ellwangen.

The municipality is a member of the Agreed administrative community of the city Ellwangen ( Jagst).

The most famous sports club in Neuler is the Turnverein Neuler.

Regular events

Neuler is known for its Carnival parade. Every year on Shrove Sunday line numerous people, according to the Association Neulermer Fools 1906 to 25,000, the streets, to see the carnival procession with the many themed floats and marchers.

Economy and infrastructure

Education

In Neuler there with the Brühl school a primary and secondary school. Secondary schools are located in Ellwangen. There are also two Roman Catholic kindergartens in the city.
