Neural Impulse Actuator

The Neural Impulse Actuator is used to control a computer game alone with brain waves and / or mouse.

About a headband sensors measure momenta of the forehead and eye muscles and voltage variations in the electrochemical activity of the brain. The method is based on electroencephalography (EEG ) of the medicine.

The first prototype was created by Brain finger. Actually, it was meant for the disabled. In Germany, the first device was presented at the CeBit 2008 by OCZ. It was published end of May 2008 in the trade.

The product could be used to improve input in computer games, by allowing shorter reaction times. So far, however, only easy to use games like first-person shooters are controlled. On the other hand it also provides the possibility to facilitate the entering of disabled people computer commands in the technology. The device is connected via a USB 2.0 interface to your computer.
