The Neurobionics combines neuroscience, biology and applied medical technology to develop new medical techniques that reconstitute with which destroyed nerves or nerve contacts by disease or accident leave ( neuroprostheses ).

The interdisciplinary research field of Neurobionics has set itself the goal of restoring lost senses or mobility of blind, deaf or paraplegic people by implantation of microchips ( neuro-chip ) in whole or in part.
