Neutal (Hungarian: Sopronújlak (old: Nyujtál ), Croatian: Najtolj ) is a municipality in the district Oberpullendorf in Burgenland in Austria.

Geography

The municipality is located in Stooberbachtal in Central Burgenland. Neutal is the only place in the community.

History

Before Christ's birth, the area was part of the Celtic kingdom of Noricum and belonged to the area of the Celtic hillfort castle on the Schwarzenbacher Castle Hill.

Later, under the Romans today Neutal then lay in the province of Pannonia.

The first mention Neutals found in the year 1270 as "Villa Geotan ".

Towards the end of the 19th century and in the 20th century Neutal was a center of chimney and boiler Maurer. From Neutal and around the special masonry buildings, especially at the time of industrialization in Austria fireplaces and boilers. Even after the Second World War drew the Maurer from the " oven builder village" throughout Europe around to line the steel furnaces and kilns with refractory bricks.

The place was like the rest of Burgenland to 1920/21 Hungary ( German West Hungary). Since 1898, had to be used because of Magyarization the government in Budapest the Hungarian name Sopronújlak. After the end of World War II German West Hungary was awarded in the Treaties of St. Germain and Trianon in 1919 Austria after tough negotiations. The place belongs since 1921 to the newly founded State of Burgenland (see also: History of Burgenland ).

In 1931, despite rejection of Neutaler council, the place Schwabenhof incorporated.

In recent decades, the local economy provided the most important factor for development of the community dar.

Economy and infrastructure

The history of the industrial area Neutal began in 1975 with the settlement of the company Pfnier & Co GmbH.

In 1976, the Burgenland training center ( BUZ ), a center for education and training of professionals for the economy, was settled in Neutal. 1977 was followed by the establishment of a branch operation of the company Austrian Brown, Boveri works ( BBC). The company was renamed in 1988 in the wake of the global merger of ASEA and BBC in the Asea Brown Boveri AG ( ABB) and sold in 1998. The work is now under the new name SAM metal and switchgear ago.

Already in 1979 he was putting the metal building company MAT. At the beginning of 1999 the company was taken over and converted into new MA -TEC. The company is in metal, steel and cladding works.

The direct connection of the Burgenland Expressway ( S31 ), and the infrastructure of the new technology area created in 1999 the conditions for new business relocations. This included the roof and facade construction companies Rathmanner, the mid-1999 began production in Neutal.

After the settlement of the company DIVITEC electrical and waste recycling in 2001, the list of local metalworking operations with the company MCI has been expanded, which is engaged in the manufacturing of designer metal ceilings. Also since 2001, the company Kitzwögerer Neutal operates. The marble and granite processing company took over the production halls of the company Acrylan, the windows and doors manufactured.

Economically important for the community Neutal was the construction of the Technology Center Central Burgenland. Opened in April 2002 Technology Centre houses in addition to numerous commercial and industrial companies, a high- performance data center from Siemens Austria.
