Neville Lederle

Neville Lederle ( born September 25, 1938 in Theunissen, Winburg, Orange Free State ) is a former South African racing driver.

As Neville Lederle in his first international race, the Grand Prix of South Africa in 1962, with a Lotus 18 in sixth equal import a first point for the drivers' world championship of Formula 1, a great career in motorsport seemed possible. This success, however, should remain the only one.

In 1963 he celebrated in the South African single-seater championship some victories with a Lotus 21 before he was sidelined for a year after a broken leg, which he had suffered during practice for the edge -9- hour race. Although he could fully recover from his injury, he retired from racing to devote itself entrepreneurial activity. Among other things, he opened a Volkswagen repair shop.

Twice more he appeared on the racetrack when he came into the year with the Lotus 21 at the edge of Grand Prix was awarded in 1964 to the start and in 1965 unsuccessfully tried again to qualify for the Grand Prix of South Africa.
