Neville Thiele

Albert Neville Thiele ( born December 4, 1920 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; † 1 October 2012 in Sydney ) was an electrical and mechanical engineer who worked mainly in the area of ​​electro-acoustics.

Life

He attended the " Milton State School ," the " Brisbane Grammar School " and the University of Queensland and Sydney. In the 30s he appeared as a boy soprano in the Brisbane radio program and later as an actor. Then he began to be interested in the sound recording and playback. After five years of military service in the infantry and Australian " Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers ", he completed his studies with a Bachelor of Engineering ( Electronics and Mechanical Engineering) in 1952. This year, he began by EMI ( Australia) and after the start of television in 1955 in Australia, he gained experience in various laboratories in Scandinavia and the United States. Back in Australia, he worked at EMI initially continued in the field of television. In 1962 he joined the Australian Broadcasting Commission where he was responsible for the development of radio and television facilities.
