New Haven Knights

The New Haven Knights were an American ice hockey team from New Haven, Connecticut. The team played from 2000 to 2002 in the United Hockey League.

History

The team was founded in 2000 as a franchise of the United Hockey League. In its inaugural season, the Knights took second place of the Southeast Division. In the subsequent playoffs for the Colonial Cup they parted after a bye and a 3-2 victory in the best-of -five series on the Adirondack IceHawks against only in round three with a sweep in the best- of-five series the Asheville Smoke from that failed to Quad City Mallards in the final. After a Erstrundenaus in the 2001/ 02 season against the eventual finalists Elmira Jackals the franchise was dissolved after only two years.
