New Jewish Cemetery, Prague

The New Jewish Cemetery ( Nový Czech židovský hřbitov ) is the largest Jewish cemetery in Prague. It is located in the Zizkov district and was built in 1891 to alleviate the space problem in the Old Jewish Cemetery. He is about ten times larger than the old Jewish cemetery ( he occupies the area of ​​over 100,000 m² a ) and can accommodate about 25,000 graves.

The cemetery contains numerous Art Nouveau monuments of Czech artists, including Jan Kotera Jan Josef Václav Štursa and Myslbek, creator of the statue of St. Wenceslas on Wenceslas Square in Prague.
