New Journal of Physics

The New Journal of Physics ( NJP ) is an open -access online publication on topics of physics. It is published jointly by the German Physical Society and the British Institute of Physics.

The NJP exists since 1998 and publishes original research from all areas of physics. The authors pay for publication, the articles are freely available then. The journal uses the usual peer review standards, the rejection rate is 80 %. The Impact Factor is 4.063 (as of 2012). In 2008 it amounted to 3,440.

Since August 2011, the Journal published on YouTube "Video Abstracts", which can be supplied by the scientists additionally.
