New Knoxville is a small village in Auglaize County in the U.S. state of Ohio. Founded in the town was in 1835. On a municipal area of 2.0 km ² live 891 inhabitants ( 2000).

The Historical Society of New Knoxville Community maintains a museum. Three of the buildings of the "Heritage Center Complex " are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a residential home, a doctor's office and a kitchen and earned and prominent community member HE Fledderjohann who lived Knoxville the turn of the 20th century in New York.

New Knoxville is home to the First United Church of Christ and New Knoxville United Methodist Church ( formerly Salem Methodist ). The company Hoge Lumber is the largest employer in the town and the world's largest producer of wooden bowling lanes. The religious organization The Way International also has its headquarters in New Knoxville. To the west of the city lies the airport Neil Armstrong, who was named in honor of the famous astronauts so called. Neil Armstrong was from the Auglaize County.

It is twinned with Ladbergen in North Rhine- Westphalia - a part of the ancestors of today's inhabitants have come in the 19th century as emigrants from Ladbergen.
