New London County, Connecticut

The New London County is a county located in the U.S. state of Connecticut. In the census in 2010, the County had 274 055 inhabitants and a population density of 158.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is New London.

Geography

The County is located in southeastern Connecticut between the mouth of the Connecticut River in the Long Iceland Sound on the west and the border with Rhode Iceland to the east. History

The New London County in 1666 was one of the four Gründungscountys of Connecticut.
