New Orleans Public Belt Railroad

The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad is an American railway company. The AAR it is classified as a terminal and switching Railroad. Office of the Company is New Orleans. She is the owner and operator of the Huey P. Long Bridge ( longest railway bridge in the world ) over the Mississippi River in New Orleans.

The Company was incorporated on 8 March 1904 and took public in 1911 operating on. It is owned by the city of New Orleans and administered by the Public Belt Railroad Commission.

The tracks have a total length of 200 km ( including 38 km of track track). The company combines the rightmost of the River Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF with the left-sided Canadian National Railway, Kansas City Southern, CSX and Norfolk Southern.
