New Tricks - The crime specialists (Original Title: New Tricks) is a British crime series of the BBC from 2003 in which it comes to a newly formed special unit of Scotland Yard called UCOS ( Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad ) that deals with unsolved cases (Cold Cases) busy.

Head of the department 's Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman ( Amanda Redman ), which is "parked" as a career woman here, after having nationwide media protests triggered by the shooting of a dog during a hostage rescue.

When subordinates are assigned to her three now retired former detective:

  • Ex Detective Chief Superintendent Jack Halford ( James Bolam ), her former boss and mentor, who (usually only at present in the home garden grave ) with his late wife speaks
  • Ex Detective Inspector Brian Lane ( Alun Armstrong ), a man with a phenomenal memory (nicknamed "Memory Lane " ) and the ability to promote from dusty records revealed minimal details that are often critical to the investigation of the case. Production and publication

The series is produced by the BBC and Wall to Wall Television since 2003. As with the guard Dennis Waterman singing the theme song for this series. The soundtrack is by Steve Edis.

In the UK, nine seasons of the series have now been sent at the BBC, which had been published, all in the original version on DVD. The tenth season will be broadcast since July 2013.
