New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation ( NYS OPRHP ) is a New York state government office, which has three main tasks in the state-managed state parks. These are:

  • Scientific recommendations for the protection and conservation of the natural resources of flora and fauna and conservation of the state historic sites;
  • The regularity and compliance with the statutory nature conservation laws and regulations;
  • (eg, water ) to maintain the environmental health of the natural resources in accordance with strict standards.
