New York Times Building (41 Park Row)

41 Park Row, or even often New York Times Building is a 16-storey building in Park Row, Manhattan, New York City. It was made in 1999 by the Landmarks Preservation Commission under monument protection.

History

Around the turn of the century as a Newspaper Row Park Row was known, many newspapers and publishers had their office branches in the street, as well as the New York Times. The building was designed by architect George B. Post, Maynicke & Franke and built in 1888-1889. It is located right next to the present Park Place Tower and at the Potter Building borders the southern part of the building. The neo-Romanesque building is now owned by the Pace University.
