State Highway 45 (SH 45) " Surf Highway " is one of the younger thematic New Zealand State Highways, comparable to a German tourist route.

The SH 45 connects the villages of New Plymouth in the same district and Hawera in South Taranaki District on the North Island of New Zealand over a distance of 105 kilometers.

The highway here describes a semi-circle to the west, in the center of Mount Taranaki is located in the center of the Egmont National Park.
