State Highway 60 (SH 60), with a length of 116 kilometers is one of the shorter State Highways on the South Island of New Zealand. It will connect to the north-western part of the South Island to the highway network and the city of Nelson and is located entirely in the region Tasman. He serves as a connection to the Abel Tasman National Park and Farewell Spit and therefore also important for tourism. The road begins in Richmond south of Nelson and ends in Collingwood.

Route

The highway branches off to the southeast of Richmond on the SH 6 and runs in a northwesterly direction across the Waimea Plains by the alluvium of the Waimea River. The SH 60 runs in Mapua over the Motueka Valley through the small town of Motueka. In Riwaka a road branches off to Kaiteriteri and the Abel Tasman National Park, while the SH 60 turns to the west. The road climbs to the Takaka Hill to the Eureka Bend 791 m above sea level. From here, located east of the Kahurangi National Park. Then it descends into the valley of the Takaka River and passes through the place Takaka. This is followed by the Highway in north- west coast of Golden Bay to its end in Collingwood.

Opened By 2010, the Ruby Bay bypass, the SH 60 also followed at Mapua a coastal route.
