Torpedo fairchildi is a ray species from the family of electric ray and lives off the coasts of New Zealand at depths 5-1150 m. They feed on smaller fish, they hunt at night.

Features

Torpedo fairchildi has the typical slightly wider than long disc shape his family, consisting of body and pectoral fins. The top is dark gray, the underside white. The species reaches a length of 100 cm.
