Newport Coast is an area of Newport Beach in California. It was incorporated in 2002 and had the status of a previously defined for statistical purposes settlement area ( Census Designated Place ) holds.

Geography
Newport Coast extends to the Pacific Ocean facing side of the San Joaquin Hills. The houses cling to the hilltops and some have sea views. The site is bordered to the west by Corona del Mar, to the north by San Joaquin Hills and south to Laguna Beach.
The district is conveniently located between two highways. The California State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway ) runs south along the coast and to the north, California State Route 73 winds through the hilly landscape.

The largest groups by ethnic origin in the urban area were: German 320 ( 12.0 %), English 265 ( 10.0%) and Russians 218 ( 8.2%).
In 35.7 % of households were living children under 18 years. A total of 24.6 % of the population under the age of 18, 3.8 % from 18 to 24, 31.6 % from 25 to 44, 33.0 % between 45 and 64 and 7.0 % were 65 years and older. The mean age was exactly 40 years.
The median income per household in 2000 amounted to 164 659 U.S. dollars, the median income of a family on 173 043 U.S. dollars. The per capita income of the district was 98 770 U.S. dollars. Overall, 2.8% of the population were below the poverty line.
