The Newport Stadium is part of the Newport International Sports Village; a large sports complex in the Welsh town of Newport. The site is located in the southeast of the city and offers facilities for various sports.

The stadium

The stadium with an athletics center which complies with international standard, was inaugurated in 1993 and currently has 4,700 spectator seats. They are distributed to the covered main and opposite stand and a Standing Position in the North Stand of the stadium. The two football clubs AFC Newport County FC and Llanwern and Newport Harriers Athletics Club AC mainly use the stadium. The venue meets the requirements of the Conference National League. In December 2006, the old floodlight against a strong 500 lux system was replaced. In 2007 the runway was renewed.

Newport International Sports Village

In addition to the stadium, the system includes, for example the Wales National Velodrome with a 250 m- velodrome from pine wood and 500 spectators. The Newport skate park for skateboarders. A 25-meter swimming pool with eight lanes and next to the stadium in the south lies the Newport Cricket Club.
