News magazine

A news magazine is a regular (usually weekly) appearing message format that makes it accessible to a broad public current, mainly political, but also economic, cultural and other news. A distinction must print magazines (Der Spiegel, etc.), radio magazines ( eg issues of the day, heute journal ) and online magazines ( Spiegel Online, Focus Online, etc.).

Criteria for print magazines

  • Weekly publication ( to distinguish it from month leaves or quarterlies )
  • Primarily political, general and other messages ( to distinguish it from business magazines )

German news magazines

Austrian news magazines
