Newton OS

The Newton OS is the operating system of the Apple Newton series. It is the first fully written in C operating system, which was optimized for low memory and CPU consumption down.

Like the first Macintosh computer, the Newton, in his only memory ( ROM) additional programs to more memory (RAM) and Flash memory for user programs allow left.

At application level, there is no multi-tasking ability.

The Newton OS understands applications that are written in C and Newton Script.
