The Nezavisimaya Gazeta (Russian Независимая газета, to German: Independent Newspaper ) is a daily newspaper published in Moscow.

By the year 2005, the Nezavisimaya Gazeta Boris Berezovsky was, then it was by the former government adviser Konstantin Remtschukow (Russian: Константин Ремчуков ) bought, which is also Chefradakteur and editor of the newspaper today. Official owner is, however, his wife Jelena Remtschukowa because it is prohibited to a State official by law to pursue private business. Remtschukow paid for the newspaper Experts estimate that between 1.5 and 5 million U.S. dollars. Remtschukow denied speculation that he had bought the sheet as a front man for a third party. In this context, the Russian aluminum billionaire Oleg Deripaska had been mentioned as a possible actual buyers.
